Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
At Upper Orara Public School, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and excited about learning. Our school is a friendly and welcoming place where students, families, and staff work together as a team to help every child do their best.
We know that every child learns in their own way and at their own pace. That’s why our teachers are dedicated to making lessons interesting and fun, and to supporting each child’s unique strengths and challenges. We want every student to feel confident, curious, and proud of what they achieve.
At Upper Orara, we focus on kindness, respect, and caring for one another. We want our students to grow into happy, resilient, and thoughtful young people who are ready to take on the world.
Students have many opportunities to take part in activities like sports, music, art, and leadership programs. These experiences help them make friends and develop important skills that go beyond their schoolwork.
We are lucky to have a close-knit community here, and we encourage parents and carers to be involved and stay connected with what’s happening at school. Together, we can support your child’s learning and make sure their time at Upper Orara is a happy and successful one.
Thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our school!
Joanne Goodenough,
Principal of Orara Upper Public School
